god is here with us and knows all things but i do not believe that he will be on the bus.. gods people are and a person should have respect and help people but this day and age it is dangerous anymore to help some that you do not know..god will come when lightening strikes from the east to the west and you will see god coming in the clouds...but i know god is here because i can feel him in my heart and soul...

Hey! God is one of us. And God is you. He leaves in you. God is in that bus with you. The earlier you know the better. Whatever you do to the least of these ones, you do to God.

Alanis Morissette - What If God Was One Of Us
If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with him in all his glory
what would you ask if you had just one question?
Yeah, Yeah, God is great
Yeah, Yeah, God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
If God had a face
What would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the saints
and all the Prophets
Yeah Yeah God is great
Yeah Yeah God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Just trying to make his way home
Back up to Heaven all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
cept for the Pope maybe in Rome
Yeah Yeah God is great
Yeah Yeah God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
just trying to make his way home
like a holy rolling stone
Back up to Heaven all alone
just trying to make his way home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'cept for the Pope maybe in Rome

As a matter of fact he did become one of us, all the more so like a servant. And, to answer your question on "what if", our response was to crucify him
(Philippians 2:6-8) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus came on earth to live among us.
He told us that after his death we would be able to recognize him in the poor, the nude, the simple, etc.
So yes, you might recognize Jesus in a stranger on the bus.

At least then I would have something tangible to possibly believe in. I would probably ring his neck for damning me to hell simply because I was naturally endowed with the ability/tendancy to question the world around me. What a joke. Legions of believers and most I have ever talked to only served to illustrate over and over that most people believe out of fear of what might happen to them if they don't. Sick.

I never knew Alanis Morrisette did a version of that song. I'm only familiar with the Joan Osborne version.

You'd sure as hell not post something as stupid as this!
You'd probably be on that same bus - listening to every word and watching every move that He makes - just incase something happened?
I know that I would!
