I believe Jesus imparts a peace to the believer that passes understanding. I also believe that God and satan are at work all around us. I believe in miracles. But faith -- the key to eternal fellowship with God -- the key to accepting God's gift to us and righting the relationship between us and the Father -- is all about choice...and a choice made everyday. What do you think?

I agree. Faith is a choice, you choose daily to believe or not. To follow or not. To worship or not.

All I know is that there is no way I can ever swallow the crap that is required in your religion to "believe", I can't possibly make that choice because it would go against my common sense and my logic. I am just not a very 'religious' or 'spiritual' person. Although, I do have to say I've had a few very profound spiritual/religious experiences on psychedelics-- including one "conversion" to "born again" Christianity. But alas, I always snap out of it and then logic sets in again. Call it the intellectual curse.....

Exactly,
God gave us free will.
We have the right to choose right from wrong. Good from Evil.
We reap the consequences of all the actions we take and the decisions we make. Life is for us to live acknowledging God in all we do. When life is lived for our own personal satisfaction, we live with uncertainties, confussion, lack of peace and many regrets. So why do so many live just following the flow of the world. Because of lack of knowledge, understanding and disbelief.

I certainly agree that religion passes understanding - probably what makes it popular. No thinking required, just turn off your brain and join in following the rest of the sheep.

Choice is subject to allegiance. What you pledge allegiance to is what determines your faith. "As for me and my house, we have decieded to serve the Lord."
