Forming beliefs and opinions is something that happens naturally wether you are conscious of doing it or not. Just remember that this is human nature and you as a person are defined by your opinions, beliefs and more importantly your actions! If you cant be bothered to spend a lifetime forming beliefs and opinions how is becoming religious going to help?- that requires more brain power and thought then anything in the world, as it is such a puzzle with no hard evidence just the sole belief of mankind!

Come on wheres your spirit!! - "i cant be bothered" means you've just resigned yourself to being a follower, a sheep- you have more passion then that surely!?

I dont know if that saves you time to be honest because if you look at any religions they have several branches if not more and those branches are in wall amongst themselves as each branch interpret the same religion in a different way. How on earth can that be one would think. Well its to do with very clever people who used and still use religion as a way of getting to their own goal, whether its power, money, glamour, recognition, attention, popularity etc. etc. So you got to be very careful these days to even wanna join any religion as they dont come by free either these days and they all have up to date visa card machines in their offices to take almost compulsory donations. I say keep your forming belief simple and workable. Basically before doing anything to others see how you would feel if its done to you. If you are a normal person then this principal should save you lots of hassle of trying to figure out this and that. Good luck

Well soon or later God is going to call you some how in this life. It can be today or tomorrow or when ever God feels like it.
You just need to know that God works in misterious ways that nobody would understand. But in other words if you feel it deep down inside your heart that you want to become spiritual then go ahead it never hurts to try.
But also not trying to scare you or anything it is always not going to be easy al the time. The devil himself is going to try to confuse your mind and all you have to do is avoid it.
Also it depends on what type of religion you are trying to become.

You already have your own system of belief - its just that you're not wise enough to know it. No two people have the same concept of a God (a bit like fingerprints) - we all know wrong from right and as long as you can look in the mirror each morning and like what you see then you will be on the right track.

Be religious first, (not fanatic) then based on that spend lifetime to belief in your self and stand by your own opinions.

Look, you have one life...(that we know of)...so live it. If u become religious and believe everything anyone tells you, you'll never fully believe in it, cuz everyone'll tell u something different. Take some time to live your life, and one day you'll have something happen to you which'll put you on the path of finding out what you really believe in....your beliefs, not everyone elses. YOURS....unique. And if u believe in God then, he'll love u for it. But remember that u have free will...always. Only u can choose what u believe in.

Wouldn't save you any effort. Religious people, like everyone else, also form their own beliefs and opinions. They just use tradition and ancient texts to justify condemning or persecuting others who disagree with them.

If you are getting bored - it means your present beliefs and opinions are baseless. There are inflation and vacuums in between. Religions are not the solution. They are all equally evil.

You have an invisible personality within yourself. Converse with him. He will advise you the rest.
