Depends what you want to do. Mauritius is very modern and commercial, all mod cons. (Shopping centres, casinos, etc)Zanzibar is exotic and 'old world', you'll see things there that are unbelievable. (Street markets, Stonetown, etc)
I prefer Zanzibar.
