I did a double take at this question until I saw that it was a cat. I thought that you were being funny.
Have you asked your vet yet? I don't think that's a problem though. I have a male cat that, at about the same age, was only 6 or 7 pounds and he's fine. The vet didn't seem concerned either.

She is probably just a small cat. Ragdolls look big because of the longer fur, not the physical animal. Plus, female cats are generally smaller than males, anyways. She is probably fine. If you are really concerned, take her in to the vet.

i suggest you take your Sophie to your Vet, ragdolls tend to bit a larger in size, in a few more months she will be a year old and she should weight a bit more than six pounds. what type food are you feeding her ?? i really thinks she needs to be check by vet.. could be some type of internal parasite thats keeping her from weight gain

I have a 10 year old female cat that weighs 6lbs and has always weighed a 5-6lbs. Some cats, especially females are just smaller. Maybe your cat was the runt of the litter.

Dont worry, the Ragdoll cat takes about two years to get to it's adult weight. They will be approx. 16 - 20 lbs. they are one of the biggest domestic cats.

My full grown cat (7 years old) is 10 lbs, and the vet says she is a large for a female.

a vet would be best to determine if your cats weight was in proper proportion to its body size for its age. Females should get spayed at 6 months so I would assume you did this and if your vet had felt she were underweight/size at that time he would have said so.

normal cats weight about 13ibs.

i know ragdoll are bigger then your usual cats.
you should take her to the vet to have her checked and to make sure she is ok.

are you sure she is pure breed? if she is not that may explian why she is smaller.
