Hallelujah!!!!! I think that every woman should research the man they plan to date (and the same goes for men). We do not live in a world anymore where you can trust what people say to you. You need to know what you are getting yourself into and with whom. Does this guarantee that you are not dating a nut case?-absolutely not. But what it does do is allow you to screen out the men whose problems and bull**** are obvious. To find the nut cases that have their stuff hidden, you might have to do that up close and personal. Keep your eyes open and pay attention.
There is a chance that the guy could find out about this. My response to that is that if the guy has a problem with that they he is not the guy for you. Any man, who is a real man, would respect the fact that you want to be careful and take care of yourself.
Good For You!!!!! and Good Luck!!!

It for me shows you aren't very trusting. I am a man so I suppose it is a little different for me but I like to find things out about people when they are ready and the same with me. I don't think you would build a real bond with someone if they are telling you something private about themselves that you already know. If I was going into a business type arrangement or or something more serious or if things don't add up then maybe.

No its normal, I always check on the past history of a girl I am seeing, god knows where the girl has been and what possible std's she could be carrying!
In this day and age you cant leave things to chance, no matter how hot a girl is there is a chance that she could be either nuts or carrying all sorts of filthy std's.
To be fair there is a chance he has already checked up on you so its only fair that you should check him out!

The first word that spang to mind was 'trust' or the potential lack of it.
It's not a bad idea if you were employing him or something like that but maybe the wrong foot to start a relationship on? You maybe better off doing a CBR check on him but tell him first as (I think) he will be able to trace who is doing the check!

I see nothing wrong about it at all i know plenty of girls who do that, you know what you want in a guy and it is not a criminal record, so you use your own means to find out.

I would say you must have suspicions if you're willing to go to that length. It's not wrong but it says something about your instincts. It's just not a very trusting thing to do. If he found out, you could blow the whole deal. Would you want someone to do that to you? And with all the data privacy laws, you might not come up with much anyway. Good luck.

I don't think it's wrong to do that as long as you keep it to the net and don't snoop in his private belongings or anything. It's a good idea to be safe.

well no. because if he is hiding something you have the right to know. But wonder if he just don't want to tell you because that is in the past and he wants to change himself inside out. If you think you need to though just go ahead and to it.
