Have you read and understand Revelations. How did you learn its meanings?

I have not been able to read it in totality myself. But I have to confess when I sit quietly and try to make sense of what I read - it seems to be written by a person who was under the infuence of a powerful drug. If this literature was NOT a bible book - I would say the author was deranged. What's your opinion?

I realize it is VERY VERY difficult for some of you to read and understand the question and to answer it. The first 3 responses did not answer the main question - did YOU read it and if not how did you get the meanings?

Before you read this chapter ask the holy spirit to grant you widom and understanding . In viewing the book of revelation you have to read what john saw and also Daniel and as you read it you would understand what is going on . As one of Jehovah's Witnesses we will be studying a publication entitled "Revelation - Its Grand Climax at Hand!" printed by the Watchtower Society for the second time shortly.It is a verse by verse study of the very symbolic and difficult to understand Bible Book of Revelation.If you are interested in obtaining a copy,pop into your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses and you can obtain a copy for a small contribution,or if you have no money I'm sure they would'nt mind giving you a copy.
It is quite a difficult Bible Book to comprehend on your own.Spiritual guidance is needed to help interpret and understand the visions that are given to John and what place they have in man's history.

It's an extremely symbolic book. The things told to John came through dreams.
However, it's understandable because it parallels most of the other Biblical writings. For instance, we know what several of the beast are, because of the beasts found in the old testament. When you use the Bible to decipher Revelation, it becomes sense.

John wrote Revelations, Revelations is hard to read but it talks about the second coming of Christ and the end of time and when satan will be chained and thrown in a lake a fire forever.

In my opinion it is almost more meaningful and important to our generation than even the rest of the Bible. We'll never totally understand everything, but hey.. If you want to go over it, I have something I want you to read about it, interpretation-wise.
