Ive got a 3year old bengal who is the softest cat I have ever known she constantly purrs and rolls over for her tummy to be tickled! It really gets on my nerves when people say they are dangerous!

My brother's got one and he's gorgeous!! He's about 7 now and he's too clever by far. He's a terror to the other cats outside the house, he's a hunter and he's a thief. He goes into other homes and steals things from steaks (which he'll gobble) to toys (that he'll bring back to play with). He's a real people cat, loves their company and 'talks' alot, we all forgive him his sins because he is so loveable affectionate and playful. And that fur is so soft it's like silk to touch. I have not met a nasty bengal ever. If there is one out there then I'd blame the owners!

You speak of a Bengal Cat. If your refering to a Bengal Tiger, you better believe they are dangerous. If this is the case, I suggest you do some reseach on the subject and learn some truths about their temperment.

For 40% of the time at least, Bengals are astounding athletes. They can rush around with great glee, climb doors and cupboards, and leap to huge heights. My Bengal will land on my shoulder in a single leap from a couple of metres away, in order to assist me in any interesting activity such as answering the door, or looking in a cupboard. They will bounce about, roll around, switch lights on and off (!) and even do full somersaults whilst in high spirits. Kittens in particular can be all over the place, in a veritable stampede of spotty fluff.

Many animals go through their turn as being "Dangerous" When I was growing up it was the Doberman, don't own one, everyone said, they are known to turn on their owners...then it was the German Sheppard, people claimed that it was too closely related to it's wolf ancestors to ever be truly domesticated. Next it was the Staffordshire Terrior's turn (commonly referred to as the pitbull).

Well, the truth is that all of the breeds hove the potential to be dangerous, as does any dog. But it has more to do with the way the dog is raised and treated. I have had several Sheppard's throughout my life and they are terrific dogs.

This has happened with cats too, and the same principles apply.

I suppose it's cos they descend from Asian Leopard cats and they have more wild/hunter type instincts!! Saying that though, friend has 3 bengals and they're all as soft as anything, the cutest cats ever!

I've heard that about Siamese more than I can count since I got mine only 5 weeks ago. She is just the most beautiful, politest, loving creature there is, too. And people say "siamese? that scares me!" What gives?

I guess Bengals get it because they are advertised as "little jaguars" and "your own wild kitties" I have seen posted.
