Who exactly is Allah?

I've heard the comment 'we all have the same God'. I'm really ignorant on this subject and would like to know. Serious answers only.

Ok...Good question. He is NOT the same as the Christian god, contrary to popular belief. The symbol is the crescent Moon...and yes he is the "Moon God".:

Allah is Arabic for The God. Specifically:
Al = The
lah = god

put together, Allah is also the Proper name for God in Arabic. All Arabic speaking Jews, Christians and Muslims use Allah to refer to God Almighty.

P.S. There is a huge lie that Allah is some kind of moon god. That is something some christian radical missionaries have invented to try and discredit Islam. You will never here a Muslim, Arab Christian or Jew refer to this baseless claim.

The Jews call him Jehova and he is referrered to as the Jehovah in the Torah or the old testament.
The christians have no name for him except God or the Father, but the last words of Jesus were before being crucified, "ELai, ELai, Lamma Tabaqtani, " means Elai Elai, why hast thou forsaken me." there is no other reference of the word ELai in the bible, but since Jesus called him in pain, Elai must have meant God or the Father, (Jesus spoke Aramaic which is a dialect of Arabic) Elahi is another name for Allah in Arabic, Maybe Jesus said Elahi Elahi,
The muslims have ninety nine names for God and Allah is the first name.
Allah has no attribute singularly,

The God of the Bible, the Creator of the Heavens and earth has nothing connection with this deity..

none of the christians should be fooled of mohammed's teaching he created it to revange the children of God the Isrealits and the Christians.
