no we do not believe in hell.we do not because, we belive god is a loving god as in exodus 34:6 "and jehovah went passing before his face and declareing:jehovah, jahovah, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness."
so if god was so loving then why would he torture people eternally in a burning hell?

we do not celebrate most holidays because most of them have pagan origins and jehovah god hated pagans.

When people say things like this guy, dukalink6000, it's VERY obvious that either he

1) misunderstood who the callers were at his door;

2) was hallucinating during their visit (if they were in fact Witnesses); or

3) is straight-up LYING!

Jehovah's Christian Witnesses all know that the Bible does NOT teach a burning hell. When we call on people to find humble, honest-hearted ones who are hungry for the Truth, one of the false teachings we target is the hellfire doctrine because it has done and continues to do so much damage to the Bible's credibility.

Unfortunately, many people who have not studied God's Word, or who may have listened to their preacher or other hearsay about the Bible, are totally confused and sickened by the kind of God suggestd by the Hellfire doctrine. This false teaching and others were spawned by Satan and his demons to turn people away from our loving God, Jehovah. In doing so, Satan hopes to keep as many from receiving salvation as possible.

I don't understand why people make false statements like that guy above -- maybe to get some attention??

My mother tried it out when my brother & I were young kids and for some reason she was not happy with them, I guess it had a lot to do with the fact, they were trying to marry her off to someone in there and not only that, they took a lot of her money, and she could not celebrate our birthdays, holidays etc.....
I am not trying to make fun because I have a sister-in-law who is one now, But I was wondering why they feel like they do about certain things in this world?

I'm sorry I still do not think that you really answered all of my questions is there a reason why, what pagen holiday day is the birth of one child being born?
and what about the other things I asked about? I am not trying to be a pain but, if you are going to address somethings and not others why address anything?
If you are happy and so is your family I wish you the best in your life honestly.....

If "A witness is someone who has first-hand knowledge about a crime or dramatic event through their senses (e.g. seeing, hearing, smelling, touching) and can help certify important considerations to the crime or event. A witness who has seen the event first-hand is known as an eye-witness," then;
A) What crime or dramatic event did Jehovah commit?
B) Are there any eye-witnesses?
C) What does it smell and feel like?

Furthermore, if a Jehovah's Witness knocked on my door and said: "Would you like to be a Jehovah's Witness?", and I replied: "No way! I haven't even seen the accident!" Would that person laugh?
How about if I said: "Are you bribing me?"
Would that cause a giggle?

I mean this as a serious inquiry.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a pair of Jehovah's Witnesses come by the house.

I was pleasant to them, and advised them that I was not interested in changing my faith.

One of them detonated and said that I would burn in the fires of hell forever.

Is this standard policy for the proselytizers to do? I was really close to punching him out, but just let it go.

here they go again, that we are a cult? they need to look up the word. I just answered a question about a girl turning her back on Jehovah because her parents made her go to the meetings. she is talking bad about us. we can dance and have parties. we are not the Mormons who ride on bikes. if you are not interested just say put me on the do not call list and we will not bother you again. I can not believe the lies people say about us. many of Jehovah Witnesses are teachers, doctors, lawyers and many are and still go to college. Jesus Christ spoke to many people and visited people at there home. he command us at matthew 28 verses 19 and 20 .

Disfellowshipping is not a laughing matter.

Jehovah's Witnesses practice the Scriptural practice of disfellowshipping for unrepentance of such serious sins as fornication, drug abuse, stealing, and apostasy. Baptized Witnesses who join the military or publicly engage in worship with another religion are considered to have disassociated themselves from Jehovah's Witnesses.

Contrary to the misinformation of anti-Witnesses, it is quite possible to become inactive in the JW religion without becoming disfellowshipped. As long as one's lifestyle does not bring reproach upon the congregation, and as long as one does not advocate one's disagreements with the religion, the congregation has no interest in "investigating", exposing, and disfellowshipping an inactive former Jehovah's Witness.

For those who are disfellowshipped or disassociated, a primarly goal is to shock the person into recognizing the serious of their wrong so that they rejoin the congregation in pure worship. Since the primary bonds that are broken involve friendship and spiritual fellowship, it is well understood that family bonds remain intact. Parents, siblings, and grown children of disfellowshipped and disassociated ones sometimes choose to limit what they may feel is discouraging or "bad association" but that is a personal decision and is not required by their religion.

Former Witnesses who are disfellowshipped or disassociated are typically treated in accord with the Scriptural pattern explained in these Scriptures:

(1 Corinthians 5:11-13) Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. ...Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.

(Titus 3:10) As for a man that promotes a sect, reject him after a first and a second admonition

(Romans 16:17) Now I exhort you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.

(2 Thessalonians 3:6) Now we are giving you orders, brothers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition you received from us.

(2 Thessalonians 3:14) But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him, that he may become ashamed.

(2 John 10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him.

(Matthew 18:17) If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations

Becoming baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. At a minimum, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness required hard work and determination at the time.

How about this one: I have been super-polite, rudeness is not my nature, but how can I get the JW to STOP coming to my house??? I'm not interested, and if I WAS interested, I'm sure I could find a JW to ask stuff to (like you, persay)... so... how???

My friend told me to say I had been disfellowshiped *lol* since y'all can't associate with the "bad" ones, but I don't want to lie either. I've never been/never will be JW, so I don't want to mislead them.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophect of this book. If anyone adds aything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Don't play with fire or you might get eternally burned.
