Self confidence is easy! You have to learn to like yourself more than you like other people's opinions about you. Once you have mastered this skill, people see you in a different way. Rather than just going along with the crowd because you think they'll think you're cool, instead you do what "feels right" for you. If they question you, you answer honestly. If they don't get it, then they are intolerant, which is always uncool. If you are consistent with your reasoning, they'll appreciate you're a deeper person than they originally assumed. It's called substance.

Find out and develop your abilities within self. Put your abilities into action. Learn from your mistakes. Turn your minuses into pluses. When you are consistent over a period of time you will develop self confidence. Self confidence is like a muscle. You have to keep at it all your life.

The best way is to find something that you enjoy and become very good at it. It builds your self-confidence tremendously! What are you passionate about? What do you love?
To find your passion, ask yourself, what could I research for hours on end and never become tired of? What do I find exciting? What makes me want to get up and going in the morning. Find that, and you have found your passion. Passionate people are always interesting and their inner confidence comes from doing what they love repeatedly.

Whenever you go out/to a meeting/on a date or whatever, pretend that you are confident. Act like this all the time and you will start to believe it!
Tell yourself how great you are - if you don't like your big bum for instance, tell yourself that yeah, you might have a big bum, but you have goot a nice pair of boobies to make up for it.
No one is perfect - look at the people you find attractive, no really look! Does he/she have a big belly? What about their teeth? I bet they aren't perfect! But you still find them attractive! So even though you aren't perfect this wont matter to others!
Worked for me...
