I like to think of Christmas as sort of a sanctified holiday. Let's play Christmas music after Thanksgiving and not let the cat out of the bag before then, okay? Yeah, no other holiday is celebrated 5 months before the fact.

I'm a Christian...but I"m with you!

It's a sign of times. People love Christmas because of what it offers(everything is so nice about it). It goes to show the world has never been so stressful as it is now and want to escape from it as much as possible even by plainly listening to Xmas songs.

"Christmas in July" is an old custom in many summer camps in the USA. Kids dress up as Santa, give presents, decorate a tree, sing about "Frosty the Snowman" and "Let It Snow!" and such -- it's s not a serious thing, more like a dress-up "Feast of Fools." During a hot summer at camp with no air conditioning, it give some comic relief. I don't recall it ever having anything serious about Jesus or religion in it -- just a silly parody of secular customs.
