We are all God's children. Saying you are not a child of God makes you a bastard.
Read the bible. It will explain all this.

How do you know she/he doesn't have one, could be a whole family of 'God's' for all we know.
Having family isn't the be all and end all you know, you could have a horrid family and your friends become family! not all families are loving ones!
Maybe she/he simply doesn't want one.
