could it be because they where both made up fictiional characters?

When you go back to the original languages, the names are not even close. By the time you translate the Hebrew name Yeshua to the Greek name Iēsous to the latin Iesus, to the English Jesus, you do add up with something close to the Greek to English translation of the name Zeus. Kind of like the coincident the dog spelled back wards is god. But nobody would try to make a serious claim that the spelling proves dogs are really divine.

I guess in those times they didn't have much of an imagination when thinking up mythical names like "Zeus" but remember now...ZEUS is a mythical name...JESUS was a real person and continues to be in the Hearts of millions

There is absolutely no connection.

"Jesus" is the Anglicized version of His real name: Yeshua. Actually, Joshua is a closer translation, but for some reason, we all stick to Jesus.

Actually they aren't. Jesus was actually spelt more like Yeshoa or something. Its a coincidence.

jesus's real name wasnt jesus. thats an english translation, his real name was 'Isa.
