Fear is per definition a defense-mechanism, and since an increasing number of people begin to use faith as a defense-mechanism, they would technically be considered the same thing.
By the way: If you read the Old Testament, you will see that God is someone to fear. (He has a habbit of striking people down for the most ridiculous things.)

For the 1st component to your question i.e. Is fearing Allah and Hell the comparable as authentic faith ? Ans: definite !!!! , this is the comparable. the 2d section: could or no longer this is considered selfish and pretend faith .....? Ans: NO !!!!, it heavily isn't referred to as that way. this is no longer so the two. the finished concepts of : a million- existence after dying 2- Judgment day 3- Heaven and Hell ARE appropriate strongly to the existence of God. And God has conveyed them to us to teach an rather considered necessary lesson !! The lesson is that Allah has fixed rules: a million- You do good deeds and you'd be rewarded. 2- You do undesirable deeds and you get punished. there is easily no exception to the above rules. regardless of creature you may think of off, isn't exempted from the guidelines i.e. a million- Noah 2- Abraham 3- Moses 4- David 5- Solomon 6- John 7- Jesus 8- Mohammad 9- Rashad no longer even the angels are exempted of the rule of thumb. this could properly be a real considered necessary message. And it takes many years for an watching and be attentive to-how individual to benefit that. that's like telling the toddler that in case you will touch the fire you will get harm. So telling approximately all that's like alarming you in the past that's merely too previous due.

Fear? as in being afraid of something. No those are not the same.
However it is fear is natual. You can't stop it.
All you can do is to pray for God to overtake your fear and calm your nerves. To give you the peace that passes all understanding. Philipians 4:7
We are to fear God but is doesn't mean to be afaid of Him but rather to be afraid of His power and wrath. Matthew 10:28 says to fear Him who is ABLE to destroy both body and soul in hell.
If you cross Him or life a life of sin - the watch out - your day will come - fear that! That is the meaning of this verse.

The bible says that whatever isnt of faith is sin and the fearful will be in hell, Rom 14:23, Rev. 21:8
Without faith its impossible to please God Heb 11:6, faith is believing somthing you cant see or you didnt witness for yourself. Everybody wants proof of creation cause they claim all the proof is in evolution. If God wanted the proof in the Bible, He wouldve told them to write it there. Christ wants us to believe because He said so, not for proof. Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

No, having faith doesn't necessarily mean believing in God. Faith can mean having courage to overcome your fears, you may be scared but you will have faith.
