You are suffering from anxiety. I also have this and it is very common. I have found councelling to be very useful. You should look into this.

First of all, relax, as there is definitely nothing wrong with you! Everybody suffers anxiety due to crowds to some extent. You just happen to be on the extreme end. (I'm more toward your end of the pool by the way. I'm pretty shy for the most part and don't handle big groups that well.) Talk to your family doctor, or get him to recommend a good counselor that can help you out. There are treatments or remedies for this, and even if you just end up getting more information, it will help you get a handle on it.

Social Anxiety?

Social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, is a psychological condition that causes an overwhelming fear of social situations that require interacting with or performing in front of others. It is different from being shy, introverted, or experiencing the normal anxiety before public speaking—the fear is that you will somehow embarrass yourself with what you say or do in public. Social anxiety disorder causes relentless fear, often beginning days or weeks before an event, and often triggers physical symptoms such as blushing, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty concentrating. Social anxiety disorder significantly impacts a person's daily life. It may even cause withdrawal from social activities and missed work or school.

It sounds like a bit of social anxiety. I got it from my school experiences, too, because I was bullied a lot as a kid. There's medication for it, but that's only if you have a really severe case. I heard that the best thing to do is to just go out despite your fears and talk to people anyway. I've found that when I do that, people aren't as bad as I expect them to be.

If kids were yelling and screaming in the classroom, I would freak out too. You are just a shy and quiet person. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm sorry you're going through this. This is a real phobia. It's called agorophobia (sp?). My aunt goes through the same thing. She has turned to alcohol in order to leave her house and go into public...which has virtually ruined her life. It's important that you seek help.

nothing is wrong with you
I am totally like that but I just control myself and handle the situation calmed.

you must have some kind of stress or that you dont hang around society that much so they acknowledge the reaction towards you like that.

just live your life, and talk to someone about it

i dont really know but ive read some cases similar to yours...the worst is not going out to avoid crowds...you should seek professional help before it gets worse and before it affects your social life really bad...
