After a really hard workout, the next day all the muscles are sore...what can I do to get that soreness off them?

Are there any foods that can take the lactic acid off?

you need to give it a break for some time

The best way to relieve soreness is to alternate heat and cold. Most people go with heat because it is more relaxing but cold water around 30-40 degrees can also help relieve soreness. Using them both together will help tremendously. Cold water can be like torture though, so taking a hot bath, or getting in hot tub will help but not as much as if you were to alternate between hot and cold. Hope this helps.

Stretch your muscles out, it may help relieve some of the tenderness. Drink plenty of fluids, and alternate warm and cold substances over the area. If it's too sore, you can take an NSAID like ibuprofen or aleve.

Just try and keep them relaxed via a rubdown or massage. Sounds like you were trying to break in lightly used muscles too fast. Drink plenty of water.
