It depends on the circumstances then and now, and what type of clearance you are referring to. Bear in mind that there are no doubt many eligible drivers who do not have such a conviction on their records - it would no doubt be faster and easier to sign one of them on and get one of them cleared than to clear you.

If it was a felony It could stop you from getting the clearance.However if you tell whomever it s that is going to run the background check that you may still have this on your record your honesty may be enough to overcome the charge. Note I said Maybe. good Luck

It is a possibility... the only way around it it is to be upfront about it. If you try to hide it and they discover it... you can pretty much say "bye, bye" to the clearance.
