Anyone seen "Road to Guantanamo?" Having worked there and having been apart of the debreifings of the Tipton Three the movie looks like total propaganda. Just wondering if it cam across that way or if it came across as innocent young men wrongly accused and then beaten and tortured. I remember seeing Rhuhel Ahmed two weeks before his release with his feet on a table, eating a Snickers bar and drinking a Dr. Pepper laughing at the prospect of his return. He told us how he couldn't wait to get home so he could write books and make movies telling everyone how we (the U.S.) tortured him. I guess it worked, hilarious world we live in....

Propaganda.

The people making the claims about Gitmo are all cowards who would never dare say those things about people who could defend themselves.

It is a really cheap trick of the news media and 'activist' groups to claim misconduct among people whose work is classified and cannot defend themselves without violating security.

And it is really sad that by the time these people can vindicate themselves - nobody will care. (And people wonder why I regard the 'support the troops by not the war' types as a bunch of liars.)

I did see it recently- it came across as innocent young men wrongly accused and then beaten and tortured. Are you saying that there was no torture and none of what happened in the film is true and that the U.S. treated them fairly? Just asking so I don't get the wrong impression of the movie. If none of what happened in the film is true then whoever made it should be penalized.

It makes me ill when I think about the fools that believe that propaganda. How can anyone in this country believe that their dad, son, brother, sister, or mom could do the things the flipping media says about them. Blows my mind to the level of peoples stupidity and gullibility.
