Although I love my husband with all my heart and soul, I would save my child as my husband would expect me to and as I would expect my husband to save our child rather than me.

MY CHILDREN, ALWAYS!!!!!! no question, hands down, never any doubt - it will always be my children. I would kill for them, I would die for them, I will always fight for their safety, well-being, happiness, for their lives. My ex-husband would go save his mother first - he already told us this (no kidding) & the rest of us could rot for all he cared - as long as his Mumma was safe that was all that ever mattered to him. Sick.

why? because partners and spouses come and go. there are no guarantees in any relationship. your children are with you for life.
