Not Why..but When will China abolish the death penalty?

I doubt very seriously that China has any intention of abolishing the death penalty. China has more executions per year than the rest of the world put together.
That's the way that dictatorships stay in power. Anyone who says the smallest thing against the dictatorship is eliminated. That's the way those in power stay in power, you don't have to like the regime, but you do have to pretend to like it.

Uh, never. And why should they? The death penalty is a useful tool. Granted, China probably uses it a little too liberally, but it is that countrys decision.
