Funny -- I've had or have the following:

Doberman living to age 10
Doberman living to age 14
Doberman living to age 6 and a half
Doberman currently at 6 years of age
Doberman nearly 2 and still maturing

None have ever attacked me or shown any signs of even thinking about it.

Its an old wives tale inappropriately attached to this breed. In the 70's there were Dobermans bred with "sharp" temperments and I assume this stems from that era.

Wake up -- don't believe everything you read or hear.

No.I have a doberman that is around 10 years old and it is as gentle as a kitten, its the owners that make them mean.if we raise a animal to be gentle and loving with others they feel no threat from you or others.I won't own a dog that bites people, barking at a intruder is all i want from a watch dog or house dog,its done its job and let me know someone is around. If you train them to hate people some day they will probably turn on you.its a pet or a weapon,i prefer the pet.

If it is, then my time is coming. I have a dobie who is 3 and he wouldn't hurt a flea. I think that there was a time when they became so popular, they were over bred and inter bred to meet the demands, and that caused animals with severe behavioral issues. That happens quite often when a breed of dog suddenly becomes the "it" dog to have. Then unfortunately, the breed suffers a bad reputation that it does not deserve, because of a few incidents. The theory you are referring to started in the 70's when everyone had dobies as "watch" dogs. I have know several dobies, and all have been big babies and wonderful pets. So I think you can toss that rumor aside.

no longer actual. in case you imagine about it, If each and every Doberman assaults their vendors once they attain 7-8 months, no man or woman might want to have any man or woman dobermans, they could have already been attacked by using them. Doberman Pinschers, alongside with many different misunderstood breeds, make outstanding companions even as they're raised in a sturdy homestead by using responsible vendors.

He lied
I have had dobermans for 17 years and never had one attack me.
I have had there dogs that were mine in that time period and many that were fosters for the rescue. I have never been bitten by a dobe.
I work with aggressive assertive dogs as a behavioral trainer and have only been bitten once, by a toy poodle. I was not working with he dog it belonged to friend and it bit my ankle.

Our doberman is the best dog ever. We've had him years and he's never hurt a fly. It's our Jack Russell that you have to watch out for. ;)

No it's not true. If you love the dog you won't have a problem. They can be lovable pets.
If you keep them chained up all the time without socializing them they will become mean. But they don't usually attack whoever feeds them.

No, it is not true. I have heard the story; it goes along with the story of how their brains don't stop growing and they go crazy from it. Nonsense is all it is. All the dobies I have ever been around were big lovable babies. Age did not affect them at all.
