The Drinking Water Slowly Method
1. Fill two tall 12 oz. glasses with cool water and set them on a table in front of you. The second glass is for just in case you finish the first one, if you # really need it.
2. Close your eyes and settle yourself. Confidence and positive thinking is important here, so chill out and loosen up.
3. Pick up the first glass and wait for a hiccup. Just after it hits, begin drinking slowly, steadily and continuously until the glass is empty.
4. Try not to think about hiccuping as you set down the empty glass. Hopefully you'll have interrupted the rhythm of the hiccups, but if not then you'll have to go to the second glass.
5. Drink the second glass of water, slow and steadily, and do your best to remain calm and relaxed. By the time you've finished, the hiccups should be gone.

Actually you cannot cure hiccups because they will eventually come back again. But you can relieve them by holding your breath for a minute, or drinking some water, and I heard if you put some sugar on your tongue to desolve, it will stop the hiccups, but I never tried that one so I'm not sure about it.

Drink a lot of water (from 4-7 glasses)... But hiccups are common for teens from ages 10-13 because they're growing up!

You need to interrupt the rhythm of your breathing. So one way to do it is like what most people have already said. Holding your breath or drinking water. I find that if you get a large glass of water and drink it while taking gulp after gulp without exhaling, it should take care of it. The constant holding of breath while drinking usually helps.

take the tip of your tongue and press it up to the back of the roof of your mouth and hold it there. Your hiccups should go away very fast.
