Just as in the other kinds of golf strokes, there are many things that can go wrong. We would need to see you putt to have any specific suggestions.

Two common problems:

.Putter is too long. The stores usually stock only 35 in. putters (for their convenience). We buy them and try to make them work (choke up, bend our elbows, stand too far away, etc.) Then buy a new putter (35 in.)

Just like for other clubs, all this compensation introduces more variables in the swing and more things that can go wrong.

Have a club fitter at the store/range etc. check your putter length. Getting it shortened and re-gripped doesn't cost much.

. Do the final putter line-up with your eyes directly over the putter. Looking from an angle introduces a built-in error.

Good Luck

take up bowling. Actually ur not the only person who has trouble putting, but if I cant see u put I cant really give you an answer. Just try and remain still over and during the stroke. Body movement destroys the putting stroke. Hands and arms only.

Practice. Read books. Apply what you learn and maybe get some lessons. Also, before a round, you can practice on the practice greens until you feel comfortable.

You should ask the head pro to help you figure out what is going on. Then go to the practice greens everyday or every other day and practice until you get good at it.
