because you need money? in the maslow's hierarchy of needs physiological needs like shelter, food etc goes first before the satisfaction, self-esteem and self actualization. unless you are extremely rich that you can survive without working then you really don't have to work.

or... you can find a satisfying work so you fulfill both your satisfaction and your phisiological needs

If you're not satisfied in your job, look for another one. What do you want to do? There's no reason why you can't do something more satisfying. But, laying that aside, we work so we can eat, and have a place to call home, and all the other perks that go with a paycheck. Living with mom only goes so far, then you have to explain it to your date. That gets old really fast. Living in a box really bites too, and not very satisfying either. So, to answer your question, there is satisfaction and working is good for you. I've worked some pretty disgusting jobs, but I did the best I could, satisfied that I put in an honest days pay for an honest days work. That's the bottom line. And if you're one of the many who have found satisfaction in what you're doing, then you are doubly blessed. <*)))><

So what else are you gonna do with your life then, be a sponger and take all the welfare benefits you can get while everybody else works their butts off to keep you? Get a job like everyone else has to. Nobody WANTS to work, but everyone HAS to if they want any sort of life - holidays, home, car, luxuries etc.

To earn your way in this world, to get out among people and not be a recluse, to put food on your table, a roof over your head and warm your house in winter. I would say these are enough reasons!

Finacially people have to work, talk to your boss. If you are not satisfied with your job start looking for a new one. You never quit a job without another, how would you pay your bills?

If you are not a good looing young female, you have to work.

This is not an acceptable answer for the older, ugly women reading this, but nobody is going to pay their way for them.

I work to earn for my family...that's the ultimate priority. If there is another option available to earn to meet needs of your family there is no reason to continue ...best luck! :)
