my grandfather has died 3 years ago, but my grandma never let him go mentally.first we considered it normal when she had his photo that she talked to and asked us to say hello or so to him too.now it has turned against her-he became abusive to her, and she can't even stay in her apartment.i believe it is all because she never let him go, never coped with his death properly, never embrased the bereavement completely, she didn't want him to leave.now he is there because she didn't let him go and abuses her because he wants to leave and rest finally.how can we help her?

OK seeing dead people can be within a norm, my Gram claimed to see our family members right before someone always died no joke but a ghost abusing her hm-mm a bit strange. She needs to see a doctor obviously she suffered a major lose and it has triggered a depressive episode which is very normal. People grieve and deal with death differently. Unfortunately there is no instruction manual on how to deal with death. What is normal for you may not work for her. She has suffered in silence and you do not know it. A friend of our does not do funerals and guess what she deals her own way in private and never has the image of a loved one in a coffin. Your Gram could be claiming abuse because she can not tolerate living alone she most like spent most of her adult life living with him. When she is not in the apartment is she all better? I would speak to her doctor and then take her to him.

For me, I tend to disassociate when people die. I tend not to go to funerals and sort of deny that they are dead. I think of them as on vacation or that I will see them in the after life.

Trying to remember the good times and sometimes the bad.
It is a different way of coping with things.

Your grandparents spent a lot of time together. It is hard to grieve sometimes. If you spent 40+ years with someone how would you feel?

Hopefully this info will help! If not I am sorry. I hope you get the answers that you need for you and your grandmother.

Peace

This is a very critical suitation and i think you have to ask for medical help. You need to take your grandma out of this suitation.

Take her out often, spend more time with him, don't let her sit alone. If you have money hire a nurse who can spend time with her.

I think she is alone and wants your Grandpa back. She is always thinking about him and does want to lose him.

Take her out for holiday (somewhere for 10-15 days).

I don't even think its your grandfather. I suggest you get a shaman or some kind of paranormal expert to find out what's going on.

Well it could be part of what you said and she might (If shes old enough) have some dementia.
I think its a little of both. You really need to take her to a Dr. ASAP

Wow, she needs help--quickly. if a ghost is abusing her, she is on a road to serious mental illness. Don't ask her to get help, take her to get help.

Don't let her see photos. Say to her, that he's gone, he cannot return to this world, so let he go to his paradise, don't bother him.
