I mean, any time he wasn't getting attention, he'd toss his dolly out of the pram and go around smiting and smashing up the cities he built. Like I used to with my lego blocks

Quite on the contrary. We are God's children, often time spoiled because of sin. His judgement is just and he loves those that confess thier love for him and ask forgiveness through his son Jesus. God's judgement is just, and his love never ending. He does not need our attention, but we need his attention and salvation. If you are not a believer then just say a short prayer and ask Jesus to come into your heart. He has been waiting for you to talk to him and wants to be a part of your life!

Take it you never read the bible then. Read it, learn it, then read it again. And it's the same in other religions to us Christians, you see spoiled gods, idols, etc. all over the globe so please don't put down our God, we don't put down anything you are praying to.

And I'm not a practicing Christian, and I have read at this point 5 different bibles / studies from different religions across the globe and will read more as time permits and it's the same in them all. Believe, believe, believe or be cast away.

God.. smote the earth because we were destroying ourselves. We were taking something beautiful.. something that we had been given to take care of and love.. and making it ugly and cruel. I do not believe that God was acting like a child, but moreso a parent. When I was a child, if my mother gave me something and I didn't take care of it, she would take it away. He did the same, and I will do the same with my children.

Perhaps spoiled children are closest to "God"

I just read the answer of the young lady above me and I cannot see how Christians can make those comparisons. She says her mother took her toys away if she didn't take care of her toys. God would have killed you for not taking care of your toys.

May I know who is your GOD? Or are you referring to the "Twin Tower" in New York that was destroyed and smashed completely? Do you have any idea whom did it?
What about the present "WAR" so call the "terrorist", do you have any idea what religion they belong to?
So be considerate, do not mention any religions that is sensitive to their believers.

Actually, the people who God destroyed acted like spoiled brats. They were unthankful, murderers, evil-doers, wicked, spiteful, hateful to God, complainers, rapists, backstabbers, hell raisers, sexually immoral, drunkards, liars, pagan idol worshippers, and criminals. God is a Judge, and sentenced them to death. "For the wages of sin is death." God executes judgement on the corruption of people's evil sins.

not true. if you look at the places he smashes up the most today they are mainly full of religious pepole. ignore god and he will leave you in peace, worship him and reap his wrath. proof look at new orleans, the boxing day tidal wave, etc.

I don't know what kind of God you have, but you must not know the same one I know! I know the one I met through Jesus Christ and if you haven't met him, you have the wrong one.
