Age should not matter when two people are in love but both of them should be strong to handle all negative things attached to it especially when it is the woman who is much older than the man. Incidents like when these two persons are walking together and someone will ask the man if the woman is his mother or aunt. Or when the woman is to be introduced to the family members or relatives of the man, the fear of being talked about may beset the woman. And other things like these.
However, if both of them are emotionally strong to handle these negative issues about their relationship, by all means, they should not put an end to their relationship with age as their reason. In true love, age, religion, or race should not matter at all for what matters most is how deep and true the love these two persons in love have for each other.

It depends on the maturity levels of the people involved. Things will get frustrating when the younger or older person has different interests that really won't appeal to the older/younger person. Or the younger person does silly things wrong that are purely down to inexperience. Older and younger people always have difference in choice and thought. You will get this in normal relationships but the age difference will add more strain. If your love, bond, friendship and relationship is enough to overcome this then no age is not important

When we fall in love, I like to think of it as the greatest feeling in the world. Age shouldn't keep you from experiencing it. Like any relationship, many things factor into it's success - goals, interests, maturity, etc. If you are in sync, why dismiss it simply because of an age difference? Follow it through and see where it goes, if it's meant to be, then all the better - you found your life mate. (My BF & I have 21 years between us - going strong!!)

No, age is purely a limitation put on by society. The real measure is the ability of the two peoples minds to grow and adapt together as the years go by.

You bet it does. People have been watching too much TV or seeing too many movies. Hollywood does not portray real life! If a 18 y/o boy is interested in a 12 y/o girl, something is wrong with him. And if her parents let her date him, they're nuts too.
Do you think it will work if a 18 y/o young man is in love with a 60 y/o woman? I guess not.

No my wife is almost 20 years younger than me and we are fine. Been together for over 10 years. That is not to say it would work for everybody. Oh and by the way everything is still wonderful in bed, for those who were wondering.

I don't think that age matters, it's attitude that counts. We have all met people who are in their 20's and seem nearer to their 40's. If you feel comfortable with somebody, respect them, laugh with them, feel sexy with them, then no ,age doesn't matter!

no age is just a number, but be careful if both people are not over 18.
