I had a date go bad once, but I stuck it out. I knew it was going to be bad from the start. A mutual friend set us up, but let me know I was doing her a favor by at least taking her out. She was a beautiful woman, but she was so hyper and did not like being in public. We went to our University's Homecoming. She did not want to dance. We sat a table most of the night. I saw her at parties occasionally since then. I am proud I made it through with being civil the entire evening.

Yep, I've blown off a couple of guys because it was clear there just wasn't any point to it and I am not big on punishing myself for no reason. Of course I was never very big on the whole date thing anyway, at least not in a traditional sense. People that ask me out I would just usually say I'll be ______ (wherever) that way you aren't obligated to hang out with them if you don't want to! No matter where I am or what I'm doing I always want to be free to leave whenever I feel like it.

Is meeting someone for a date considered? We sat for about 10 minutes at a restauraunt.I saw his lips moving and didnt hear a word he said,so as soon as he stopped talking for air,I said I gotta go. Maybe another time huh? Needless to say there would be no other time. But I did not do it out of hatefullness, I just didnt see a point in playing the game if ya already know its a no win.
We still talk occassionaly .

I have been on a couple of dates that have been bad, you know when there is nothing there, no chemistry nothing in common. The best thing to do is go to a public place and try to invite other people to your table or call a friend and have them come to where you are. sometimes people are just shy and once they open up things get better.
