hm good question. I want to believe that spiritual pain is linked with the earthly life. we feel this pain when we are not able to be with our loved ones, when we get hurt by them etc...
but I guess, up in heaven, there are no physical obstacles therefore there is problably no spiritual pain at all.. at least it helps to think this way. I ll let you know when I try for real!

Physical pain can be experience on how we die. People die in many ways through accidents, sickness or even when sleeping. What is dreaded most is how we are going to face eternity after we die. It is only the body that dies but not the soul. If you are bound for heaven you will experience spiritual bliss and their will be no more pain. However if you get to hell, that is where you will experience spiritual pain and torment.

I think when we die not any part of us physical or spiritual is alive with us.Isn't death the opposite of life? Ecc.9:5 and 10 saysI...." the living are conscious that they will die but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all,also , their love and their hate have already perished...so all that your hand finds to do , do with your very power, for there is no work, nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in sheol the place to which you are going...( the common grave of mankind)."If we are conscious of nothing , we obviously feel no pain, and love and hate are of the spirit (from Galatians 5:19 thru 22) 22 say"on the other hand , the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace,..." .Psalm 104:29 says"if you (God) take away their spirit they expire, and back to the dust they go." and James2:26 says"the body without spirit is dead." so spirit is that which gives life to a body, without spirit the body is dead. it is like the spark of life that gets all things to live?Only God can put that spirit back again , "the dust returns to the earth just asit happened to be and the spirit itself returns to the true God who gave it. so for someone who dies, any hope to live again rests with God.Our life is in his hands,only by his power can the spirit be given back to us to live again. So I feel that is why God allowed a resurrection to be alive again only for everlasting life free from any pain ever again, isn't that what Jesus showed us while he was on earth that God's government will do for us, everlasting life where he can cure the sick and blind and lame ...anything? The resurrection promises a life free from all Pain Rev 21:3&4

After death we receive a perfect knowledge of all that we have thought or done. How you live your life will determine whether you find spiritual joy or spiritual pain because of how you lived.

its not really spiritual pain but you would have sensation remember the parable of the rich man & lazarus in which the rich man died & went to hades & he felt the extreme heat & he thirst that he ask for lazarus to dipped his finger tips on a water that he may felt some relief. That is Hades not yet hell or the lake of fire imagine.
