Some rich Americans wanted to buy "that cute little old bridge in London with the turrets" and mistakenly bid to buy "London Bridge". The GLC was only too happy to accept as they wanted to replace London Bridge anyway. It was dismantled and shipped over at vast expense leaving us with Tower Bridge and all the others and enough money to pay for a spanking new one as well!
So Google earth may be correct for that. But the Eye...!?

i know...
London Eye takes you to Kansas USA
and
London Bridge takes you to near Lake Havasu City / Arizona USA
It's all very American though - I searched for Waterloo and also got brought to the USA.
Put in a ,UK after London Bridge and it will take you to the UK!!
