I love to eat avocados. I have 3 ready to go right now but the humidity has caused them to produce a little fuzzy mold on the outside. The inside looks and smells ok but I was just wondering if there was any bad things I should know. I'll probably eat them anyway cause I love'em but I'd feel better if I knew I wasn't going to get sick.

Great answers, thanks. Already ready to eat. I added black pepper, green onion, tomatoe, jalapeno, pinch of salt and a little sour cream. Oh yaaaa. Bring on the chips!

Go ahead...you don't eat the skin, so there should be no problem
...Mine fall off the tree in my garden, and I eat them when the skin starts to turn black.
As long as the inner flesh is a nice green everything is ok.

P.S. Cut them in half instead of peeling, and spoon the flesh out, that way you won't get the bad part from the outside in contact with the inside.

The appearance of the skin doesn't matter. As long as the flesh is still good, not too brown either. Do you eat them plain or make guacamole? Brown flesh = brown guacamole.

No, rotten food is the number one reason for "scum" on the brain.
SERIOUSLY. It's not worth it when in doubt throw it out.
