You can get a miniDV with that budget (rather than D8 which is nearing obsolete stage).
Has Wider range of selection from Known brands like jvc, sony, canon, panasonic, sharp & samsung.
Try to get the handycam with 3ccd lens & bundled with software too!

have you done some research on the types of cameras you want yourself? first see if you can find what youre looking for yourself, and then finallly, ask answers. the odds are if you look hard enough, you will probably find what youre looking for instead of something someone else recommends. for starters, go to www.camcorderinfo.com and it will have info on different types of cameras as well as brand. try this and the results might surprise you.
