Let us put it this way, he could be regretful and claims he was "joking", but you can't be very sure, so ask him in an undirect way, (or directly if you prefer), and make him apologize. This will show whether or not he was regretful, if he didn't apologize, then a tip would be not to go into believing him.

Either way, it is a very slight chance that he was talking truly about 'joking', so no, don't believe him for that, but heck, have a heart!

Is he normally a jokester? That should answer your question. I once had a boyfriend that would break up with me for a few days occasionally when he wanted to go out w/ someone else. Of course I had no idea at the time. I probably wouldn't believe but I am a jaded biotch too.

a person doesn't joke and tell someone off. This is a heartless act and rather stupid. I wonder if you want to be with a person like that? I frankly don't believe him. He told you off and then repented so he approached you with this cock and bull story.....only a joke. Tell him to find someone else.

It all depends on the degree of friendship both of you have for each other. It could be a joke also, but a dangerous joke, sort of which he should avoid in future.

well if ever he will do that to me, i'll be very upset coz it's like he's just playing with my feelings and emotions. He should prove me first that everything was just a joke and he should be very sincere. And i'll talk to him and will tell him thats its not a good joke.

No! Absolutely not! Don't allow him to play with your feelings and think that your relationship is a joke! I'd say you ditch that bastard and find yourself a real man! You can start by going to webdate___dot___com and meet the people there!

Maybe i'd believe him but i'd certainly not have anything to do with him again, anyone who defines that as humor i don't need in my little world. He prolly just couldn't get any from the chick he dumped you for or she was really bad in bed so now he's trying to erase it all. that guy would definitely have blown any chance he had with me.

Bad joke on his part and I wouldn't give him a second chance. He has a really warped sense of humor.
