parents and older folks somehow forget their own youth and acquire an adult perspective that alienates them from the next generation of youth who are going through about the same thing the adults did. it's a mystery to me why adults do this and I'm 68!
I've made myself a promise to never treat kids the lousy way adults treated me when i was a kid and never to forget my own childhood.
each generation passes through about the same struggles to develop and then turns it's back on the next generation as if they (the new ones) are some how weird and different!
please don't forget that you were a kid once and try to remember what was okay and not okay for you as a kid!!!!!!
you'll be a much better parent and adult for it!

Generation Gaps occur because things change and they always will change, but you see the things that change are usually things like music, food, hairstyles and clothes but the only thing that we always still have is Love, Hate and rebellion! Oh How I wish I was in those rocking 50's
