My girlfriend has a private myspace site that I can't access or view. She admits that she uses it to flirt with other men, and that she has over 300 "friends," but says it is innocent. Nevertheless, she will not make it public or otherwise let me view it. Also, she tells me she has some of her ex-boyfriends on it. She says she will delete the site when she is good and ready of her own volition, but will not have me dictate whether she can or can't have the site. We have been dating three years, and I basically support her. Is it wrong for me to give her the ultimatum, delete myspace or say goodbye to me? FYI, please do not suggest that I make up a profile and add myself to her site... I won't do that.

Its corny, but you have to follow your heart. She should not be flirting with other guys on her myspace and she probably shouldnt' be talking to so many ex's. That only leads to tempatation. Besides, she has you, right? Shouldn't you be enough? Three years is a long time to still be holding on. Thats way too much baggage. You might want to sit down w/your sweetie and have a long chat about how she sees your relationship working out and how she respects you in regard to her "friends". You gotta draw the line somewhere, right?

At least you know she has it... it may make her feel more independent but I would feel like you do if I were in your position...

But you can never dictate to anyone (well, you CAN but it never does any good) and I also admire that you won't make up a profile to test her.

You say you basically support her - well, drop the subject and see what happens. Maybe she is insecure and trying to make you react in a jealous way (some people do do that) so carry on showing her that you like that she is her own person and also show her that you do love her and that putting you through a 'jealously test' is pointless. That will be hard to do without talking about it, but try.

Although if it carries on and does basically make you really unhappy, then you should tell her how you feel and why.

I think she has lot of free time to sit in front of computer, Once she involved in any activity like job or study she will forget every thing.

MY BOYFRIEND DOES THAT... its annoying but at the same time you cant do anything about it. I guess you just have to wait and keep reminding her that she told you she would remove it, but don't force her to otherwise she'll do it behind your back.
