The copy was purchased from a retail store. I'm the only one that ever used it and it's only installed on one machine. =)

call 1800-rulegit or if you know the number for microsoft. and as long as you have the real dis,k you have to read off everything on it to do this. they will give you a new key code FREE of charge.

Probably the best way to do this is use a program that retrieves the key.

The product key used to install Windows XP is still present on the machine in some form but is not readable, to view it you need a tool such as Magical Jelly Beans: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/

Call Microsoft Customers Service in the country you're located. They should be able to help you.

Call Microsoft and if you can prove to them that the copy you have is legit they will give you another one

or live in country where pirate software is a legal thing to do. So you can copied them. such Indonesia.
