Yes. I'm ready. My current situation is great! I will continue to improve every area regardless if it doesn't or does need improvement to please my God.

I hear a lot of Christians talk about getting saved so that they'll go to Heaven, or do more in order to get to Heaven. What about right now? Jesus gave us salvation so that we can live...now, and forever. You can't improve your odds at getting to Heaven by doing more good stuff. You do the good stuff because it's a natural outpouring of what Jesus is doing inside of you. You do it 'cause it makes Him happy. He did all the hard stuff, like die for our sins. There's nothing more we need to do to "earn" our way to Heaven. Read the book of John, in the New Testament. Then read the book of Romans. He's given us new life that starts when we've received His Holy Spirit inside of us. We don't have to wait for Heaven for that new life to begin. The new life we have now is just a preparation for when we go to live "up there". So, what am I doing now? Talking to all you fine people. Do I like where I'm at? Yes, I do. I'm a Sunday School teacher, I sing solos in church, my husband and I are members of CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) and share our lives with bikers of all kinds, I volunteer with Habitat For Humanity, and I sell Avon. I've been married for over 28 years, have two grown children and one grandson. I've been a serious Christian since June 5, 1990, and still learning. Yes, I would say that I have a full life and am very happy with the situation I'm in. I help as many people as I can, in whatever fashion I can. Quite frankly, there's no way I can improve on what's already been provided by Jesus, in order to get to Heaven. He's already made me a promise, and I know He'll keep it. Have a very lovely day. <*)))><

Actually. i looked up the Greek word for 'knoweth' (KJV) used in that verse.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
(G1492) eido- a primary verb; used only in certain past tenses, the others being borrowed from the equivalent 3700 and 3708; properly, to see (literally or figuratively); by implication, (in the perfect tense only) to know
It has a past tense to it. He was talking to those in the place he was speaking at that time. Jesus would know when by now, wouldn't you think?
Look to the Feast of the Trumpets, that's September 23 this year. If you are in the US it would actually be September 22. If it happens this year, I figure that it will be on that day. If not, then it might happen on the Feast of the Trumpets next year. But always on the Feast of the Trumpets.
I am so happy that my life is a complete wreck socially. I have lot's of time to spend with God. At work and at home, I am speaking to Him, praying to Him, and studying His word.
I know that isn't the normal answer that you will get, but that's mine. Me and God, were fine.

I'd be ready, and I don't even believe in God. I'd be like, Hi Jesus, good to see you brother, do you want a bodyguard. Those Christians and Demons are going to leave you to die again. I'll look out for you. Come and stay with me Bro. We can hang out and have a few wines and come up with a marketing plan so we can achieve world peace without you having to be sacrificed again Brother. You should see how much they've twisted reality since the last time you were here. Oh yeah, you know. Anyway this is your room, stay as long as you like.

I don't need to improve anything to get to Heaven as you put it. I am redeemed, Jesus has paid the price for my sins. Now if you ask what would I like to improve so as to be able to stand before God without shame, plenty ..... I strive to be more like Jesus everyday. Still, I am a sinner and fall short constantly. No amount of preparation would make me 'ready', still I eagerly wait for the day because I am as ready as I will ever be. A sinner loved by God, He counts me ready.

1. Well, I'd need to get my hair done and new shoes... The house could do with a quick clean-up. But more or leass I guess I'd be ready.
2. I'm killing time between lessons.
3. More or less.
4. I would have to start believing in a place called heaven.

My answer to that is much like the Apostle Paul's thought's . He was torn between going home to God or staying to help others get there too.
I am positive that if Jesus were to come tomorrow then I would be on my way to eternal Glory. I can hardly wait to bow down before Him.

There is nothing that I can do to earn my way to heaven. I am saved by grace. I'm just a sinner who needs the help of the Lord everyday. But if He came right now He would take me because I believe in Him and He is faithful.

Would be nice. Messiah has never been the issue, the issue is the chronic chaotic and bloody fighting by those who say they follow him. I am what I am both positive/light/good, and negative/dark/bad. I am a being locked in the realm of the physical. When the physical is cast off then what remains is of light. Did not your St. Paul teach you the same thing?

Getting to Heaven is so simple that people tend to reject it. God as Creator has set people in families and to get into one we have to be born into an earthly family. I contributed nothing towards my physical birth, I arrived, so here I am for a limited time. Jesus Christ said I must be born again to continue in life and that birth has to be spiritual life from Himself. I have no merit of my own and so must receive this gift of His to be be born into His family of such great dimensions. I enjoy family now but have yet to experience the ultimate of family= Perfection with Him, I am ready.
