i had guests over for 2 weekends in a row. they took a shower and there was crust on the tub that i had to clean. then i found a used condom in my trashcan that, of course, i had to throw out. should i just let it go? should i say something? should i stop inviting them over? i'm thinking, at least have the decensy to go to a motel...at least u pay them to clean up, what do u think?

I would tell them, because it's rude and what kind of people are they anyway?

If you have guests it is your reponsibility to clean after them, it is a sign of a good hostess. You may ask them to dispose of their personal items so as not to embarass you. It is your decision to say or not say something, but I would consider it rude. If you enjoy thier company have them back or ask could they get a room. As far as getting upset about the whole thing, the only person this is bothering is you.

You should not invite them over any more if they are going to disrespect you this way. If you continue to invite them over or let them come over then yes you will have to clean up after them.

I believe that if I am invited to someones house, I should help clean up the mess. It's the hosts responsibility to decide whether they will allow me or not. I prefer to clean up if I throw a party, but help is appreciated.

They should have cleaned up. Let it go, though. Just don't invite them over for awhile. Hope I helped.

What else were they supposed to do with the condom? Someone staying at your house should clean up after themselves, but putting garbage in the trash is included. If you don't want to throw out their condoms ask them not to have sex at your house, if you don't want to throw out their trash ask them to stay someplace else.

If you enjoy their company more than you get upset about the clean-up, don't say anything.
If the cleaning disgusts you more than you can stand, you can either say something, or invite them less often.

These are guests who would not get a repeat invitation at my home.

I'm just wondering what this question has to do with painting?

Are your friends artists?

I think this has absolutely nothing to do with painting. And you know that.
