I agree with one of the other people here. There's not enough space to tell you all the times God has been there, strengthening, guiding, healing, comforting, encouraging, teaching, and even chastising me. He's my Abba Father and Savior. Since I have the tendency to get long-winded, I'll just say that, since I got on my knees at midnight, June 5, 1990, He's never left my side. That night, I truly felt His very presence next to me, His hand on my shoulder. I knew, without a doubt, that He was there, and He was living in me. He made my whole life come alive. People will make fun of my experience, but you know what? It's MY EXPERIENCE, and they can't take that away. There's no way you can make someone experience what you've experienced unless they go through it too. I can tell you how it feels to climb 300 steps to the top of a rock formation and see for miles around. But, unless you do it, you can't even imagine what it's like. I'm very good with the written word, but even I'm not good enough to describe that, nor can I make you have that same experience. You have to do it yourself, if you want to understand it and fully live through it. I've never been skydiving, but people tell me that it's quite a rush. I'll never know what that's like unless I do it. So, don't let anyone make your experiences with God into something that's questionable, putting it down to emotionalism or wishful thinking. It's not weakness or an inability to deal with reality. This is reality. Living it out every day, in everything we say & do. Okay, I'm getting long-winded again. It happens a lot when I talk about Him. He's taken something that was broken and made it whole. He forgave me for all the rottenness that was in me and made me a whole new person. He took someone who was a liar, drunk & druggie and made them into someone who gave it all to Him, in exchange for a more wonderful life. Yes, I do thank God for his endless unconditional love. He's blessed me more than I can ever say. Godspeed, dear sister. Keep His Words deep in your heart. <*)))><

There's not enough internet space for me to share the many times God has worked in my life - but my favorite blessing happened going on 4 years ago - I answered the phone for the Home Shopping Network from my home - a woman called and ordered $100's of dollars worth of stuff every night - since I worked in the mid morning hours I often took her calls -so I just asked her one night, what causes a woman to shop this time of night - and she laughed and said she had fibromyalgia - I laughed and said that's why I work this time of night - it seems night hours, barometric pressure and temperatures are easier than day times - so we began to visit as we could, which is quite limited, but she gave me her home phone number and I called her and we wrote back and forth - then my husband became quite ill and unemployed and a year later I followed suit - we were both unemployed and awaiting disability - well, that is a nightmare all by itself - she ask if we needed money from time to time, but I always said no, as I had never met her and in all honesty I figured her credit card debt was atrocious, as her account had 9 or 10 cards on it and she used them all - then one day her husband called me and asked which pharmacy we used that they had been praying about it and felt they wanted to cover our pharmacy needs until we received our disabilitly - so for one year we did not have to pay for any medications - I later asked our pharmacist how much they had billed this dear lady in that year and it was in excess of $20,000 - well, we're still great friends and this last March I was blessed to get to fly to her home and meet her for the first time - we had such a great time and it was as though we had known each other forever - a year after we met she lost a daughter just a few years younger than me - so God had a way of knowing what our needs were going to be and how they could be filled between two people in two different states - come to find out they own a whole chain of stores across the deep south and our bills were nothing - but to me they were everything God could have possibly blessed us with - and for her I was a daughter that she couldn't replace and I still am - God knew - we didn't - we were just two late night owls with fibromyalgia doing what we did best in the middle of the night - but God had a plan - we just both did our part and he took care of the details.

God bless you! God works in many many ways and forms. He is always watching over you. He has helped me and my husband through many storms. Once earlier on in our marriage we were both jobless and was evicted. The next day we had a call about an apartment and found employment. Now can anyone not tell that it was from above? May God continue to bestow his blessings on you and may they be many.

My god lets me do anything I want, I run a free life, I think and act for myself, and he doesn't like it when I become a mindless slave to him, he wants me to be a free-thinker and do whats on my mind. You only live this Earth once, so you make the best of it, whether its the pain and joy of Hell or the pleasures of Heaven. He doesn't care which one you take as long as you don't follow in the Christian God's footsteps.

bluehippo,
He takes care of me. Not that I am unable to do things for myself, but He gets me through, no matter how bad things look.
There may be a few times for you when things seem really bad that you might start doubting Him. Don't you be surprised when it all blows over and you are feeling guilty for thinking that He wouldn't be there for you. He does that to teach us that He does really care.
But don't you catch yourself doing it over and over again! Trust Him to fulfill His word. He does it everytime. Everytime!
You have to know what promises to claim. You have to stay in the word, bluehippo. Cancel appointments over it if you feel like you are losing the closeness. Your relationship with God is the most important thing in the universe. Most important!
Hang tough! And e-mail me if you want. I've been a Christian for over 20 years. I've seen many things. I'll help you if you need it, but trust God. You have to trust God.
See you when we get home!
Grace and Peace through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen

God never spoken to me directly only Thur the bible which is His word so He does talk to all His children.First, you must believe Jesus to be the messiah and not be ashamed of Him second, you must seek His word (Holy Bible) and lastly ask of God your needs and if possible they will be granted.
