well, let me start by saying, TERRORISM/ TERRORIST dont have any religion or they dont come from any sect of a religion.

it is clearly a perspective difference.

a bomb cant be made for non-musilms or a missile cannot selectively kill only people from a certain religion.

as mentioned in the answers to this question about shiaits, there is no hard and fast rule. again, i remember someone mentioning all muslims are terrorists. but thats not the the problem should be looked at.

in fact, we should see terrorism as a religion.

this perception that we have is may be because of the religiosly driven terrorist outfits. but, did we ever try to see whether these terrorists outfit are right in joining whats there in religion viz zehad and all????

no we hardly try. zehad... should be against crime not criminals, it should be against sin not the sinner, it should be, again, against strict islamic followings and not against people who dont follow.

another important aspect is that..... we have evolved a great deal. the religious books are written thousands of years ago....the then social stadnings and the current dont match. then people hardly used to know people out side there community now we live in a global village. there are few things we should do away with, like, educating the girl child a must.

we have hundreds and thousands of other important issue than merely fight on the basis of religion and brainless causes.

i am sorry i have deviated from your question and its not a to the point answer to your question. these are my views and i dont intend to force these views upon anybody. it is merely an expression that i thought would benefit the poster and answerers of this question.

This one does not need any thinking.
The Wahabi sect without a doubt - the followers of the thinking of Mohammad Bin Abdul Wahab. ALL 9/11 hijackers, Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Al Zawahari, Zarquawi... are wahabis.

Their origin is mainly from Saudi Arabia. But also from Yemen, Sudan & neighbouring countries.

their arent any sects in ISLAM.... Sunni muslims form around 85% Islam and Shiite form around 10% and both are almost same.. just minor difference between them!! other 5% are not considered as muslims by the MUSLIMS e.g. AHMEDI'S, NATION OF ISLAM, etc etc
