I think meeting someone online is a rather good idea, just be cautious. You don't want some crazy girl! :) It gives you the opportunity to meet someone you might not have otherwise met due to geographic regions or as you said, working at night. It has become a VERY POPULAR custom. You can also try dating websites...eharmony, I think yahoo even has a dating area. I know a few people who have met their significant others online...including me and we're engaged to be married in a few months! I also have a friend who met her husband online and so on and so forth! :) Good luck!

Well, I don't want to discourage you or anything, but I have ALWAYS been scared of, freaked out, and disgusted by internet dating. You don't always know of the person is who they say they are, it's not the same as meeting a person in real life, and do you really want to take the chances of dating a 54 yr old net geek who weighs 25443546 lbs?! If you've ever lied about anything online, even somethin as simple as your age, that just goes to show how EASILY someone can lie about themselves online! Pretty scary if you ask me. But, it's your decision, so whatever happens, you know God made it that way for the best, so hopefully you'll end up happy w/ w/e you decide. But who knows? Maybe you might be lucky enough to just run into someone at work?

It is true Internet dating has the bad stigma of nerd-dom associated with it, but more and more normal people are looking at Internet as a viable option, I met the love of my life on the Internet so I would definitely say it is a good thing. But be mindful freaks are still out there.

Give it a shot. Try out the free sites first, to kind of get your feet wet. That way if you don't like it you won't be out any money.
Match.com is about the best one, but it's a little on the costly side.
I've had the worst luck as far as finding someone to date, but I have made a lot of good friends online. Good luck!!
I can tell you some funny stories about my experiences with it if you want. tamitones1978@yahoo.com

Depends...if you use an internet dating service, then I guess it could work. But venturing on your own is too risky. There's too many weirdos out there, you really have to take everything you see with a grain of salt!

absolutely not! hell with those people who think that online dating is dangerous when in fact meeting a total stranger in a bar is far more dangerous than that.. i go to webdate.com, so far i'm having a great time and so far i hadn't been disappointed with the new people i meet.. you deserve more interaction and you should not let your work keep you from socializing..

internet relationships i found dont work too good, you got the whole distance thing between you, not to mention the odd silences when you get to talking to someone >.>;;. but if theres nothing else, id say internet romance is your best option you have left.

the closer the better... don't find love because sometimes when you find for love you find a wrong person... maybe you can encounter someone who is like you and can understand you... put a lot of confidence on you... you may lose your chance if you become shy everytime
