I don't know how old you are, and you don't say if this all over or just your legs or what. But it could be a sign of a serious circulation problem or perhaps even Raynaud's Syndrome.
You should really get it checked out.
And no you are not a freak. Unless you are a talking grape, then I am WAY off base,

If it's obviously purple and it's its natural color, then probably yes. If it's after a really cold swim or because of a sun burn, then it's ok.
