I was at a restaurant and on different occasions the item (bread) I ordered was dry and I told them nicely and they refunded my money. Now they say I cannot return because they say they cannot make me happy when I told them nicely that they can . One person said that I asked for a refund twice from her and once from someone else. The total was $3.75 when I spend at least a hundred dollars if not more. The customer is right and I was professional about it. I gave good comments to the restaurant.

The customer service person did not return my call and the restaurant said they can refuse service to anyone. I appologized nicely to everyone even if I did not cause them any loss.

Any advice? I love this place and they have a nice atmosphere I told them I reccommend this place to friends and family. I am willing to pay them and the won't accept anything.

Also they said I returned thngs at other restaurants when I did not the soda machine broke(not my fault) and they refunded my money.

Why would you want to go back to a place where you weren't treated like an important customer after all you have done? It doesn't matter how nice the atmosphere is, you should be treated a lot better than that. Personally, I wouldn't want to spend my money in a place that didn't make me feel like I mattered to them.

I guess I just have a few questions. This bread you ordered - was it the free bread that you get at a meal or was this a sandwich? Also, how is it that they knew you got stuff refunded at other restaurants?

If the story happened exactly as you said it - write the management and move on.

However, restaurants give refunds all the time. If you are specificly being banned from any eating establishment - especially one with as nice an atmosphere as you say it has - you may want to rethink how you ask for refunds. I know you said you apologized. But were you originally rude? Did you swear? Are you known around your locale for constantly sending back food? Was this thing that you did the proverbial "straw that broke the camels back"?

Maybe you can write a letter to their Corporate office, if applicable. However, it sounds like they don't want your business. Customer service is not what it used to be; however, if you like the place and the atmosphere, why complain over $4 bread? Just don't order the bread anymore. You may have to chalk this up to experience if the manager won't budge.

Edited to add: The customer is not always right. Some customers simply can't be pleased no matter what the company does. I'm not saying you are as I don't know you, but it sounds like the manager feels that way.

Sounds suspect to me. I do not think the whole story has been told here. Service in any establishment is totally up to the proprietor. Time to move down the street. Besides I would not feel comfortable going somewhere where I knew that I was not welcome. Out with the old and in with the new.

Go back in disguise next time or change your appearance so they don't recognize you. Or wait a while before going back. Restaurants have a fast turn over of help and no one will know you. Just a few thoughts!!

They probably have to deal with so many scam artists every day that they accidentally lumped you in with them. There isn't really much you can do about it, since they do have the right to refuse service to you. You may just have to find another restaurant to frequent.

Sounds lik something else is going on, ususally a restaurant would value a customer like you and bend over backwards for you.

Please mention the name of this restaurant,I would like to
"not" go there.
I am sure that many other members would like to "not" go there
as well.
I seldom if ever complain, but as a business owner I do my best to make right even the smallest thing. This is how you can assure
repeat customers that recommend others

Every story has two sides. I've heard yours. Now I would like to hear theirs. But I'm guessing you are one of those people who can never be pleased or you complain to get free stuff. I had a friend like that once. We dropped him.
