I live in a two-family flat. I have a driveway next to the house. My upstairs neighbor and I have no problems sharing the driveway; she usually parks on the street and so does her husband. (My car has been in the garage for months--broken). My daughter, who lives with me, has a car, and she parks it up against the garage--it doesn't have a legal license yet. My next-door neighbors live in a two-family flat also. Their driveway is right next to mine, with nothing separating them--just a double-wide drive, basicalloy. Now the downstairs neighbor next door usually parks up near the front door, so the upstairs neighbor backs up and around that person by swinging into MY drive. Tonight my grandson parked in MY driveway, by MY front door. So, the two cars were basically side by side. When the upstairs neighbor next door came home, she couldn't pull her car passed the two that were parked there, Instead of asking HER neighbor to move, her big, bad boyfriend pounded on my door,

waking up my baby grandson, my daughter and myself. He immediately started yelling about, "Whose car is this? You've got to get it out of here. This is a shared driveway, etc. etc. and cuss, cuss, cuss. So, I told him to get off my porch and stop yelling. My grandson had gone off to see other people that live on my street, and I didn't have his key to move his car. (And the way the guy next door was yelling and cussing me out, I had no inclination to WANT to move the car) So, he said, "We'll see about this; we'll just call the police".
AND THEY DID!!!! Over this s**t. When the "hook" ("cops", to all of you not from around here) got here, they told me I was completely within my rights to have anybody park anywhere they wanted in MY drive, that I had no legal obligation to "share" the drive. I told him I would try to find the grandson, but it's almost 3am and I hasven't found him yet.
Now I'm going to have trouble with the neighbors. Was I wrong? And what could I have done?

It has to do with Christian attitudes, loving our neighbors as ourselves, etc. etc. And, yeah, someone should give a damn about a REAL problem that I am facing, when other people write to Answers with all sorts of stupid crap every day and night and get perfectly nice people trying to give them perfectly nice answers to questions that are either smutty or make no sense.

Wow! I better check my Christianity values. You DID say "clean his house" didn't you? I forgot that part. And it was only Mickey D's, not Red Lobster. Do you think I'll go to hell for that?
