Matthew 24:4-14 clearly lists the events that will lead up to the day of Armageddon. Matt 24:36 says "Concerning that day and the hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." 2 Peter 3: 9 says though that "God is not slow respecting his promise, as some consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain repentance." Armageddon is the time in which false religion will be destroyed and after the politcal system turns on what the bible refers to as God's rightous ones, will destroy the current standing politcal system and all those who rebel against him. It's not what the movies depict as Armageddon and certainly shouldn't create an image of dispair as Rev 21:4,5 says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said "Look! I am making all things new." Also he says: "Write because these words are faithful and true." referring to the events after these things have passed.

I and my fellow Christians are still here, so no Armageddon has not started, because that will happen after the rapture and tribulation.

No, I don't think so either. God hasn't taken all the Christians up yet. That happens after the rapture.
