I think that it is the nearing of the Rapture. The Second Coming of Christ will happen after the Great Tribulation.
The Antio-Christ hasn't reared his ugly head yet. The Mark of the Beast hasn't happened yet, etc.
But this is exciting. Watch Damascus. See Isaiah 17:1. That hasn't happened yet either. Poor Damascus! It could go nuke!
You know in Zechariah 14 it tells of Jesus standing on the Mount of Olives? ( The Second Coming ) There is an earthquake and the Dead Sea becomes drinkable water?
Add this one to your watch on prophecy.

The Bible foretold natural disasters ... well that's good, consider they happen constantly. I guess if you used this as justification you can claim any event to be Biblical in nature.
War? Yes, this is the first war there's ever been ... aside from the one in the early 90s ... and Vietnam ... and Korea ... and WWII ... and WWI ... and the Spanish American War ... and the Civil War ... doh, I'm not even halfway through the 19th century and only focuses on wars associated with the United States. Again, I suppose we could use any war to claim Biblical events then, couldn't we?
Famine? Is that worse now than it was before? Why has Sally Struthers been playing with Ethiopian children all these years if there wasn't famine before? Honestly, I couldn't tell you if famine was a larger or smaller problem than 10 years ago ... I'm sure someone could ... but I don't have that information available.
Crime is high? Is it really? Has crime really increased so dramatically to make this statement? And what is crime ... crimes aren't necessarily the breaking of some moral code, as one would expect if related to the Bible, but solely the breaking of man's somewhat arbitrary code of laws. Still, I don't believe you have any evidence to suggest crime has increased at a rate that we might start to believe it was of any relation to the end of times foretold in the Bible.
And evil is such a subjective term ... personally, I think people who preach escapist fear mongering are the evil ones.

The war in the middle east is not the second coming, it has been fought for ages upon ages, it is over water, aka the gaza strip. The reason it has now been thought by many to be the second coming is the media coverage. This stuff is never ending. When the secnd coming begins we will all know 2000 years of peace will come over the world in its entirety that means no war people!!!

Natural disasters, war, famine, evil, and crime have always been present. Just because you weren't around to see them, it doesn't change that fact.
It doesn't take a prophet to predict that any of those things will happen in the future. It only takes common sense.
It also does not take a prophet to predict that rainbows, birth, bountiful harvests, goodness, and charity will exist in the future. That is also common sense.
There is nothing more sadistic than praying for and trying to bring about the end of the world. Please stop.

It's in the right area. Christ said his returning would be fast and unknown and he would be seen in the clouds and not walking as a man on earth. I think that if you see the Mosk being replaced by Israel where the temple stood in full, then that is a good sign.

being a muslim, i believe in jesus coming back to world. he was not dead at the time when he was on cross. according to Quran he will come back to earth and will rule over the world with peace for rest of his life. middle east war seems to the sign of that. that war was suppose to be initiated by israel. Jesus will come from heavens and descend on jerusalem. he will have a fight with non-believers (my be usa) and will won at the end. after that he will rule with peace for 37 years. and after 37 years he will die his human death. and then DOOMSDAY.
