is it ok to drink alcohol while taking this? I usually drink on the weekends with friends.. and I was wondering if it would have any side effects..

Drinking Alcohol can antidote the curative effects of the medication but cannot give you a reaction.

Phytolacca berries (pokeroot) certainly have side effects. I also have yet to see any scientific papers where it actually works. I am not sure about alcohol, but it certainly is worth reading these links:
