If you have deeper questions about life... u already r one... there is no conversion unless you want to associate with a sufi master and purify yourself. He has to accept you.
To be a Muslim you simply have to proclaim that you believe that their only one God and Muhammad is his prophet... To be a sufi you have to purify yourself rigourously and usually it is hard within the normal setting so might need to withdraw... I think you could become acquainted by getting to know about some of the great masters and their ways.

Sufis are those people who disconnect themselves from the materialistic world and all they do is pray.
While they are performing half of Islam, they are actually ignoring the other half while is to serve the creations of God.
I have met few sufis in my life and while I was amazed by their point of view on life, people and everything else, I saw some dark sides as well which I would never understand as a Muslim.

Wao...I didnt know there might be someone here to ask this...cool!!:D
Sufism is a path towards the Truth where the provisions are Love. Its method is to look solely in one direction, and its objective is God....
the practice of Sufism is the intention to go towards the Truth, by means of love and devotion.
Sufi is one who moves towards the Truth by means of Love and devotion. Since only one who is perfect is capable of realizing the Truth, the sufi strives his utmost for Perfection. Sufis believe the only way to become perfect is to purify oneself under the training of a perfect Sufi Master....
So basicly....a Sufi goes towards God with Love...or in another word, its loving God...
the main sufis are from Persia,Turkey and some are from pakistan,Afghanistan n north of India... the very famous Sufi is Rumi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jalal_al-Din_Muhammad_Rumi)
this is what Rumi sais in his poem....
"When I come to Love, I am ashamed of all
that I have ever said about Love."
(My dad's friend is a doctor...he is Sufi also..why dont u see his webpage ..here http://www.nimatullahi.org/)

Depends are you a moslem?
Sufi is sort of mysticsm, not all sunni agree on Sufism.
All you need is to read the philosophy and use your mind and preferbly go to a country or organistions that advocates these teachings
Good luck

all that is required of you to embrace Islam right
now as you are reading these lines is to pronounce the two confirmations and attestations of faith, here it is
I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD WORTHY OF WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH ( ARABIC WORD MEANS ONE GOD-THE CREATOR). AND I BEAR WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER. I BEAR WITNESS THAT JESUS IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER.
Those are the greatest words in islam and your passport to heaven..... have u said it
Once you embrace Islam and bear witness that: "There is no god except Allah, and Muhammad is His Prophet," all of your past sins are forgiven. You also receive the reward of believing in the religion of all the prophets of God. If you are ready to do so, then declare the shahada (declaration of faith in Islam).
please learn more and seek guidance sincerely from THE CREATOR. THE CREATOR Most Generous and will never let any of His servants down. THE CREATOR is the One Who guides to the Straight Path, and He is Sufficient for us and is the best disposer of affairs
With these few words, a person enters Islam in a matter of seconds. There is no need for baptism or priests, or even to go to a certain place such as a mosque or anywhere else.
please take a shower later it means you start new life with no sins Whatever bad deeds you have committed before, Allah will forgive because of your Islam.Becoming a Muslim is like starting a new life.
In Islam you will return to the pure, original, sinless state in which God created you. You will experience true freedom - the pure, direct, and exclusive worship of the One True God, free of any intermediaries between you and Him.
. You will find that you have entered a religion pure and clear, free of confusion and contradiction, with a preserved Book and a beautiful way of life. And in the hereafter, you will abide forever in peace, in gardens beneath which rivers flow
