Some people go through spiritual experiences and are convinced that there is a part of them that remains unexplained. It's a part of them that is unseen, silent, yet it causes them undeniable experiences.

Some, especially those that have not had those experiences, will try to rationalize the experience. Calling it a mental problem, or just (less offensively) the imagination taking off on a tangent.

It has been my experience that both are possible, but some of the experiences involve real events that were undeniable.

Once someone gets to a point where they believe that such an event has taken place, they are forever changed. Especially if the person figures that the experience took place with their own spirit involved.

Even non-Christians may believe that the spirit lives forever. As do I. But to make a connection between the non-perishing side of you, and the reason that God can bring you to Him in the spirit, that is another matter, and goes into something that you didn't ask.

If you have had any of those experiences, remember them. And do not let anyone else tell you that it was something that deep in your heart you believed.

I hope that helps.

Do you want to believe this? Will it make you feel better? You have no reason to believe that there is anything after life.

People have had near death experiences and reported similar stories throughout the world. That doesn't mean that the "white light" was heaven or whatever. The same thing happened to astronauts when they were training and passed out. Use your ability reason.

If you want to believe something that is irrational then you are lying to yourself. You don't need to put your hand on something to believe in it but you need evidence from people who earn your respect.

Science never claimed to know all the answers, its just a method of enquiring logically about questions. Just because science can't show the after life isn't there doesn't mean it has to be. If I told you that the animals stand on 2 legs and talk in English when no-one/cameras are there would you believe me?

If you want to open your mind until your brain falls out; listen to the teachings of any religion until it suffocates you and you are forced to believe.

Do you truly believe that we came to Earth just to exist and die for nothing? That we are just particles of dust when we die and that is it? Why can some people do so many good things and others do so many bad things - there must be something out there in the world helping us to make both good and bad choices in life. Who is the author of goodness? Who is the author of evil? The deeper you go into these questions the more you realize that there is a God and there is a Devil. There is a Heaven and there is a Hell. There is life after death because you have a soul inside of you that is immortal, it must live on. I suggest that you read the Holy Bible - For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. It has been appointed unto man once to die and after that to face judgment. There are so many other verses in the Bible that states that there is another life after death and it is not reincarnation. If you are not ready to meet God than you are not ready to die. I suggest you read some medical reports of people who have come back to life from death - there are some amazing stories of individuals who went to Heaven and some who went to Hell.

We believe in Paradise and Hell. Paradise is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17) Hell is the abode of punishment which God has prepared for the unbelievers and the evildoers. The torture and horror in it cannot be imagined

without it, God would not be the Just and Wise and merciful God He is. God created men and made them responsible for their actions; some behaved well but others did not. If there is no future life in which the virtuous are rewarded and the vicious are punished, there would be no justice and the creation of men in that way and the sending of Prophets to them would be to no purpose at all. But this kind of behaviour is not expected of a man known to be rational and just, let alone the Perfect Creator.

Without belief in this Day on which everyone will receive his just deserts (when the wrongdoers are justly punished and the righteous are rewarded bountifully), man would lose the impetus to behave fairly towards others and the oppressed would grow hopeless and miserable.

Belief in the Hereafter is an essential element that helps to control human delinquency and establish collective happiness and virtues in society.

well that is true. NDE's are convincing since most of them coincide with each other with varying races religions and world areas. there is something to be said.
check out the near death experiments. good info on this

i believe that there is something more simply because we have a conscience. Science has not and may not be able to tell what it is or why it is there. it cannot be measured and not a part of the brain. science cannot explain why we are aware of ourselves. if you lost all your limbs would you really change. you would still be the same on the inside. if your house fell down around you you would simply walk out. we are not our house.

quantum mechanics is coming close to an answer on this as well.

for a body without the spirit is lifeless. what is it that makes us go that makes us who we are? is it our bones or heart or the tissue in our brain? is the atoms we are made off or something deeper. a type of life force thaT resides in each of us that refuses to die.

There have abeen a lot of people with near death experiences that have been to Heaven or to Hell. If one person tells what Heaven is like I can understand that as a personal opinion. But when many people from all walks of life see the same thing, I have to believe there is something to their stories.

The bible cleary speaks of the condition of the dead.
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts all his thinking do perish.”
It does speak of a hope though for all mankind.
It speaks of an earlthy hope for those who are rightous and for those in which are resurected.
Rev 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away."
Acts 24:15: “I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
What a joy it will be to enjoy the earth in the condtion and purpose it was intended.

I read the previous posts; ah, such cynicism! I am a fairly spiritual person, and already believed in God. Then, I had a 'near-death' experience and it clinched it for me! What I experienced is beyond a few words. Suffice to say, I am positive there is life after - life! Or, if you will, life after death.

Have you seen ghost? If not, that's probably the best place to start. Ghost haunting would tell you a lot about life after death but not so much to understand beyond ghost coverage. But it's enough to see that "something" even to skeptics. Books can help. But experience is better if you are up to it.
